2025 Big Ten Wrestling Championships Saturday Session I: Penn State dominates | Full Results

Session I of the 2025 B1G Wrestling Championships is in the books for Penn State Wrestling.

And while the rest of the B1G teams saw plenty of action in the opening round, the Nittany Lions only had two guys competing. Which if you’re new to B1G Championship Wrestling, you might be asking yourself “why”?

Well it’s simple. The 10-man wrecking crew that is Penn State Wrestling snagged a whopping five No. 1 seeds and three No. 2 seeds. And due to the B1G having 14 guys competing at each weight class, the top two seeds get a first round bye. Additionally, these byes do end up hurting the Nittany Lions as far as points and the team race.

But hey, that’s just the by-product of having the best coaching staff in the nation and the best wrestling room in the nation.

Let’s just cut to the chase though, it’s not important for Penn State to win the B1G’s. That tournament is two weeks from now.

So with that said, let’s take a look at the results from Session I and what lies next for the Nittany Lions later today.
