T.J. Parker, a native of Phenix City, Alabama, committed to the Nittany Lions on June 21 over multiple SEC powerhouses.
James Franklin and his staff have dealt with multiple decommitments in the 2023 recruiting cycle, so far, and it is only August.

In a span of a few weeks, Penn State Football lost three-star offensive lineman Josh Miller, four-star quarterback Marcus Stokes, and three-star wide receiver Yazeed Haynes, all at the hands of southern programs.
It would be naive to think NIL didn’t have anything to do with all of these recruitments being reopened, after signing with the Nittany Lions.
