Penn State Football picked up its second commitment in as many days Tuesday, as McDonogh defensive end Mason Robinson picked the Nittany Lions on Tuesday afternoon.
Robinson, 6-foot-4 and 230lbs, held offers from schools like Georgia, Michigan, and Oregon. The three-star prospect from Owings Mills, Maryland had been committed to Northwestern since officially visiting in mid-May, but recently backed off his commitment after the Wildcats’ poor season.
Robinson popped up in State College for an official visit to Penn State over the weekend, and shortly after the defensive lineman from McDonogh essentially flipped his commitment from Northwestern to Penn State.

The McDonough School may sound familiar, that’s because James Franklin has built an impressive pipeline with that school. The current roster includes linebacker Curtis Jacobs, and defensive linemen, D’Von Ellies, Dani Dennis-Suttonand, and PJ Mustipher.
His senior highlight film is really impressive Robinson recorded 83 tackles including six tackles for a loss and nine sacks in nine games as a senior for McDonogh.
Robinson’s commitment comes on the heels of Penn State Football adding three-star EDGE, and potential future starter, Josph Mupoyi Monday.
