Penn State Basketball: Another Day, Another Departure

In what must feel like deja vu for Penn State Basketball fans, another commit has asked for a release from their letter of intent.

Much like 2020, when the Nittany Lions lost the commitments of Pat Chambers’ final recruiting class, Logan Imes became the second member of Micah Shrewsberry’s final recruiting class to start exploring other schools. Sources say he has requested a release from his National Letter of Intent, much like Carey Booth did just a few days ago.

What Penn State Basketball is Losing in Logan Imes

Imes is a combo guard from Zionsville, Indiana. He only visited Penn State and as a three star was supposed to bring some significant shooting to the 2023-2024 team. It was well reported his recruitment to Penn State was aided by his close friendship with Braeden Shrewsberry, now the last remaining recruit for the 2023-2024 team and son of now former head coach Micah Shrewsberry. With rumors still floating around about VCU’s Mike Rhoades and FAU’s Dusty May, time is slipping by as the Nittany Lions currently have just four returning scholarship players (Kanye Clary, Jameel Brown, Kebba Njie and Demetrius Lilley) and one incoming recruit (for now).
