Penn State Football has its quarterback of the future.
Ethan Grunkemeyer committed to head coach James Franklin and the Nittany Lions on Saturday, May 20, ending the program’s somewhat meandering search for a quarterback in the 2024 cycle.
The 6-foot-2 quarterback held offers from the likes of Akron, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Northwestern, Indiana, Minnesota and Cincinnati before receiving one from the Nittany Lions.
As a junior this past season, Grunkemeyer completed 62.4 percent of his passes for 2,519 yards with 25 touchdowns to just 8 interceptions.
Currently a three-star prospect, Grunkemeyer has the potential to climb the rankings signficantly this upcoming season.

Needless to say, Penn State Football has jumped to the front of the line in Grunkemeyer’s recruitment since entering the fray.
Grunkemeyer’s pledge continues a hot spring on the recruiting trail for Franklin, offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich and Penn State Football. He also fills a significant void in this cycle.
