Penn State Wrestling: Beau Bartlett Named Big Ten Wrestler of The Week
Penn State Wrestling continues to rack up the B1G hardware as another one of their grapplers was named B1G Wrestler of the Week.
Only seven days removed from Shayne Van Ness being the recipient of this honor after his outstanding performance at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic, fellow mat-mate Beau Bartlett was given the award earlier today. Honestly, it was pretty much a no-brainer.
B1G W.o.W.!

Just take a look at what Bartlett did this past Sunday in the Black Knight Invite:
W – fall (2:36) over Riley Halal (Brown)
W – fall (4:48) over No. 8 Joe Fongaro (Rutgers)
W – fall (3:57) over No. 4 Rich Treanor (Army)
W – 4-1 dec. over No. 6 Tyler Kasak (Penn State)
Beau won the title at 141 pounds with his impressive performance. And this was on the heels of Bartlett securing a title in Pool A of the 141 group the prior week in the Journeymen Collegiate Classic. On the year Bartlett is a perfect 7-0 and he’s already piled up a major decision and four pins. Two things are very clear here:-Beau Bartlett is a ridiculously good wrestler.-When you train in the best wrestling room in the country you will improve.
All I can say is this, I for sure do not want to be a D1 wrestler in the 141 pound weight group. For starters I would have to remove both legs and probably an arm to make weight. But more importantly, it’s because I wouldn’t want to face this year’s version of Beau Bartlett.
