Former Penn State Football safety, Adrian Amos, has signed a one-year contract with the New York Jets.
Amos heads east, following former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Allen Lazard to the Garden State, where he’ll bring a veteran presence to New York’s youthful secondary.
News of Amos‘ signing was first reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, as the veteran inked a one-year deal worth $4 million.

The former Nittany Lions standout brings a wealth of skill and experience to the Jets’ roster. As a safety, he has showcased his ability to excel in coverage, disrupt passing plays, and provide solid run defense throughout his career. With his signing, the Jets have secured a reliable and versatile defensive player who can make an immediate impact on the field.
Last season, Amos produced 94 total tackles while intercepting one pass, and throwing his weight around up near the line of scrimmage, where he produced a 69.7 run-stopping grade from Pro Football Focus.
Joining a secondary that includes top young cornerback Sauce Gardner, D.J. Reed, and safety Jordan Whitehead, Amos provides leadership and veteran stability.
