Penn State Football Way Too Early Game-By-Game Predictions for 2023 season

Penn States Football season is less than 100 days away, and while that may seem like a long time. The 2023 season will kick off under the lights in Happy Valley before we know it.

As is per usual, pre season predictions and models have been flowing around the college football world, since before Georgia got handed the trophy.

But, with under a 100 days to go, it feels soon enough to throw out a way to early game by game prediction.

Here are our Penn State Football Game-By-Game Predictions as fall camp looms

Week 1: vs. West Virginia

Seemingly Drew Allar’s first start, under the lights against WVU, in Beaver Stadium. The Mountaineers were 5-7 last year. This is a win for the Nittany Lions, and if this team is going where it could, it’s a comfortable win.

Week 2: vs. Delaware

The Blue Hens come to town. Not really worth talking too much about this game. This should be a blow out win for Penn State

Week 3: at Illinois

First road test for Allar, and the Lions’ first big ten opponent. Bret Bielma has done a good job with this team and as we all know, 9 OTs, they shouldn’t be slept on, but this is also a comfortable win for Penn State.

Week 4: vs. Iowa

The whiteout game. Iowa’s offense was a dumpster fire last year, and even with a new QB at the helm I expect more of the same as long as Brian Ferentz keeps calling plays. Nittany Lions roll in Happy Valley.

Week 5: at Northwestern

The Wildcats are down. And will continue to be a below average team in 2023. Another comfortable win for PSU.

Week 6: vs. UMass

Blow out win for Penn State. Enough said

Week 7: at Ohio State

If Allar beats the Buckeyes in Columbus, start building the statue. As much as I wish that comes true, I still don’t see it. Penn State loses again to OSU.

Week 8: vs. Indiana

Bounce back win for Penn State Football, over an Indiana group that probably wishes Covid was still around.

Week 9: at Maryland

I’m sure we will hear how Maryland will beat Penn State Football this year, like we have every year since they joined the big ten. But, Tulia being at home will have the same results it did in Happy Valley last year. Penn State wins in Happy Valley south.

Week 10: vs. Michigan

The turning point game. Can we get over the 10-2 hump. Michigan at home presents a prime opportunity. A harder matchup for PSU than OSU is, but a beatable opponent none the less. 50/50 game at this point. PSU loses a tight one.

Week 11 Rutgers

Schiano has done less with the Scarlet Knights than I thought he would. PSU rolls over them.

Week 12 Michigan State

Mel Tucker was the next coming of Nick Saban not long ago, until last year happened. More pain for Sparty coming this year. Penn State Football wins on Black Friday in Detroit

Penn State Football Final Record: 10-2 … again
