Penn State Football Adds Big-Time 2024 Commitment

On Tuesday morning, Penn State Football received a commitment from composite 4-star linebacker Kari Jackson out of West Bloomfield, Michigan, adding a major piece to the Nittany Lions‘ future on defense.

According to 247sports composite rankings, Jackson ranks as the number 395 overall player, the number 30 linebacker, and the number nine player in the state of Michigan for the 2024 class.

Jackson picked the Nittany Lions over Wisconsin, Maryland, Cincinnati, and Stanford, among others. After playing his sophomore season at IMG academy in Florida which has become a recruiting pipeline for Penn State Football, Jackson played his junior season back at home in West Bloomfield, Michigan. In his junior season, Jackson totaled 103 tackles, including 26 tackles for a loss and 3 sacks.

Jackson is the third commit of Penn State’s 2024 class, joining two in state commits Anthony Speca and Cooper Cousins. Jackson will join Speca in the Penn State Football linebacker room and look to maintain Penn State’s reputation as Linebacker U.
