Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese was expected to miss the first half of the game Saturday afternoon against No. 3 Penn State Football after a suspension in the fourth quarter in Ohio State’s game last week against Nebraska.
However, after the game, Ohio State filed an appeal to the Big Ten Conference regarding Reese’s suspension for the first half of the game against Penn State. As of Monday afternoon, Reese’s appeal has officially been granted and Reese’s suspension for the first half of the game against the Nittany Lions has been lifted, per multiple reports.
For the appeal, the Big Ten went to the NCAA Football Secretary Rules-Editor, who determined that Reese did not commit targeting in the fourth quarter against Nebraska for which he was ejected from the game.
Sophomore linebacker Arvell Reese ranks 12th on the Buckeyes this season with 19 total tackles in seven games this season. Reese has recorded two tackles for a loss as well this season, coming in Ohio State’s nonconference games against Marshall and Akron.
