Is Penn State Football Recruiting About to Flip Major Target?

Penn State Football still doesn’t have a wide receiver commit in its 2024 class, but that could be changing very soon.

Penn State has cast a wide net when it’s come to wide receiver recruiting, but it may be an old target who becomes the first commit at wide receiver in the 2024 class for the Nittany Lions.

Tyseer Denmark, a 4-star from Philadelphia, committed to Oregon over Penn State Football and Ohio State back in November of 2022, but that is no longer the case.

Denmark reportedly reopened his recruitment on Sunday according to Rivals.

This comes as photos of Denmark on Penn State’s campus leaked over the weekend. With that news, it looks like the Nittany Lions are well on their way to flipping Denmark from Oregon.

This would be a massive first get for new wide receivers coach Marques Hagans. Denmark is rated as the No. 33 wide receiver in the country and No. 3 player in Pennsylvania according to the 247 Sports Composite.

While Denmark did not flip directly to Penn State on Sunday, fans should feel good about the Nittany Lions’ chances as Denmark’s second recruitment gets underway. Landing Denmark could turn up the heat for other top targets like Nick Marsh and Josiah Brown.

Either way, this is a huge development for Penn State Football and its pursuit of another top 10 recruiting class.
