Picks for the Week:
Last weekend against Michigan was an absolute disaster. Once again, the Penn State defense came through for the team, but the offense couldn’t do anything productive. Firing our offensive coordinator this late in the season is certainly a move, but I don’t know how much it’ll help the team as a unit going forward. However, this is why they play the games. Penn State matches up against Rutgers this weekend, and I think they can rebound. Rutgers likes to keep the ball on the ground and control the time of possession. Their defense, however, is a decent unit, so I’m a little excited to see how Allar spreads the ball around and gets the team going under this new regime. Think it may be closer than people expect, but expect Penn State to come out on top.
Penn State doesn’t cover the -20.5 spread.
Prediction: Penn State 27, Rutgers 17
Big Ten Pick of the Week:
Maryland (+19) vs. Michigan 12:00 PM/FOX
Michigan made a statement last week. A really completing one. However, that game hangover hits them a little bit, just enough for Maryland and that feisty offense to cover the spread.
