Saquon Barkley Finalist For Prestigious NFL Award
Philadelphia Eagles running back and former Penn State All-American, Saquon Barkley, has been announced as an NFL MVP award finalist.
That means that Barkley has the chance to do what no running back has done in over a decade. Adrian Peterson was the last running back to win the award in 2012.

A star running back at Penn State, fans, coaches, and analysts expected great things from Barkley, including the Giants, who drafted him 2nd overall.
Saquon Barkley Finally Lives Up to Lofty Potential in Philadelphia
Barkley showed early on that he was a special player, but a putrid Giants team left many wondering if Barkley’s best days were behind him and his move to Philadelphia was scoffed at by Eagles fans. Now Giants fans are calling for the heads of Joe Schoen and Eagles fans are once again singing praises of Howie Roseman.
Barkley had a historic season as the engine of the Eagles’ high-powered offense. On the season, the former Nittany Lion eclipsed 2000 yards and fell just 101 yards shy of Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record of 2105. He would be the 2nd Eagles player and the first Penn State alumni to win the award.
