NFL Team Flying to Happy Valley For Private Chop Robinson Workout, Report Says

Chop Robinson, Penn State Football, NFL Draft

Chop Robinson has been a hot name on draft boards since he tore up the NFL combine last month in Indianapolis.

Projecting somewhere in the mid to late first round in next week’s NFL draft, Robinson looks to be Penn State‘s third defensive player to be selected in the first round in the James Franklin era and join teammate Olu Fashanu in the first round this year.

Robinson was back at Penn State last weekend for Penn State’s annual Blue-White spring game, however, according to a report by Jordan Schultz, it seems like he stuck around Happy Valley a little longer.

Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz reported that the Rams are flying to Happy Valley on Wednesday to privately visit with Chop Robinson, ahead of next week’s NFL Draft.

With the Rams holding the 19th pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL draft, the visit makes sense for both sides.

The Rams are looking for a pass rusher after Aaron Donald retired this offseason.

Robinson is one of the most explosive pass rushers in this year’s draft, with an excellent first step and quickness off the edge.

At the NFL combine in Indianapolis last month, Robinson recorded the fastest 40-yard dash time of any defensive end, tallying a blistering 4.49 seconds.

During his two-year career at Penn State, Robinson accumulated 9.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for a loss over 22 games. If Robinson is selected in the first round next week, he will be Penn State’s first defensive end to be selected in the first round since Odafe Oweh in 2021.
