Jahan Dotson catches touchdown pass in NFL debut (VIDEO)

Jahan Dotson, Penn State Football

Jahan Dotson finished his collegiate career as one of the most decorated wide receivers in Penn State Football history, and wasted no time making an immediate impact during his NFL career.

Dotson, chosen in the first-round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders, was on the receiving end of his first career touchdown, from quarterback Carson Wentz, on Sunday afternoon against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With 11:52 remaining in the first half, Dotson got behind the Jaguars’ secondary, on a post-pattern, before going full-extension in the back of the end zone to pull down a seven-yard scoring strike, from Wentz.

The reception was the first of Dotson’s NFL career, as the Penn State Football product was only targeted twice by Wentz, in the first half.

One of the best attributes of Dotson’s game, is the 5-foot-11 and 184-pound wideout’s catch radius, and he showed an ability to go up and get the football on his first career touchdown.

Through four seasons as a starter at Penn State Football, and focal point of the Nittany Lions‘ offense, Dotson caught 183 passes for 2,757 yards, and 25 touchdowns.
