Penn State students returned to campus to start the spring semester this week, and with it came quite a few new faces for the Penn State Football team.
In addition to the Nittany Lions‘ 16 early enrollees from its 2024 recruiting class, both transfer commits, Julian Fleming and Nolan Rucci, will be on campus for the spring semester and available for spring practices.
Tuesday, Penn State was crystal balled to flip an SEC transfer cornerback to add to its transfer portal class as the spring semester begins.
Steve Wilfong of 247Sports put in a crystal ball for Penn State to flip Florida transfer Jalen Kimber from Louisville. Kimber, a Texas native, started for Florida this season before entering the transfer portal, tallying 18 tackles, a fumble recovery, and five pass deflections.

Kimber is a two time transfer, after transferring from Georgia to Florida in 2022.
A former four-star recruit in the 2020 class ranking 71st nationally, Kimber is ranked as a three-star transfer. Kimber committed to Louisville on December 30, but could be close to flipping to Penn State this week.

Kimber would be the second SEC transfer that Penn State is favored to land this week, as former five-star cornerback AJ Harris is also projected to land at Penn State.
With Penn State losing its top three cornerbacks from its 2023 roster, head coach James Franklin and the Nittany Lions dipped into the portal to fill out depth and competition at the position.
