One day removed from putting up 154 yards and two touchdowns in the Colorado spring game, Montana Lemonious-Craig announced his intention to enter the transfer portal and explore his options away from Coach Prime’s Colorado Buffaloes. Penn State Football acted nearly as fast.

Since entering the portal, Lemonious-Craig has received offers from at least nine programs, including one from the Nittany Lions.

As Penn State Football wrapped up spring practice 15 with the blue and white game in Beaver Stadium on April 15th, head coach James Franklin reiterated an interest in dipping into the transfer portal before summer begins to bring more talent to Happy Valley at certain positions.

What Lemonious-Craig Could Bring Penn State Football

Wide receiver was among the positions mentioned by Franklin as a portal need and Lemonious-Craig would fill this need in a big way.

During the blue and white game, Penn State’s receivers struggled to get open down the field and the passing game was limited because of it.

Lemonious-Craig would give Penn State a downfield threat to help open up the field underneath for other receivers. Lemonious-Craig put his speed and skills on display during the Colorado spring game, catching three passes for 154 yards, including a massive 98 yard touchdown reception.

While Penn State offered Lemonious-Craig relatively quickly among entering the portal, there is no shortage of competition for the 6-foot 2-inch junior from Inglewood, California with 25 games of experience under his belt. Look for Penn State to try to get Lemonious-Craig on campus quickly to impress him before getting lost in the shuffle of what could be a very busy transfer visit schedule.
