Penn State Football quarterback Drew Allar had an inconsistent showing during the Nittany Lions‘ annual Blue and White spring game, but was part of one of the game’s biggest plays.
Alternating series with the Blue Team with fellow quarterback Beau Pribula, Allar made the most of one of his series, connecting with wide receiver Omari Evans on a 30-yard touchdown that got the Blue Squad on the board.

Evans figures to play a key role in the competition for the No. 3 wide receiver job, and could carve out meaningful snaps on offense during the 2023 season.
Meanwhile, Allar and Pribula are apparently competing for the starting quarterback job, despite Allar arriving on campus last fall as a five-star prospect and the No. 1 quarterback in the 2022 recruiting cycle.
Last season, Allar pased for 344 yards with 4 touchdowns, while completing 58.3 percent of his passes in 10 brief appearances.
Penn State Football opens the 2023 college football season, hosting West Virginia on Sept. 2 inside Beaver Stadium.
