Penn State Football Offensive Line Recruiting Poised to Explode

Penn State Football

Penn State Football is on fire on the recruiting trail lately, and there’s plenty of reason to believe the hot streak will continue.

Coming off of the biggest recruiting weekend of the Spring, the annual Blue White Game netted the Nittany Lions two new commits over the weekend. They were 2024 3-star OL Caleb Brewer and 2025 4-star RB Kiandrea Barker.

While Penn State is poised for more success in both classes, the Nittany Lions seem set up to do well specifically on the offensive line in the 2024 class.

Brewer, who could also play defensive tackle, became the second offensive line commit in the 2024 class, joining 4-star Cooper Cousins. It may not be long before this group adds more firepower though.

Penn State Football OL Recruiting Targets to Watch

Donovan Harbour, a 4-star interior prospect from Wisconsin, was on campus for the game this past weekend and is now set to make his college decision on Tuesday. The timing seems incredibly promising for Penn State with the 6-foot-3, 310-pound lineman.

Harbour was not the only big-time offensive line target on campus over the weekend.

Kevin Heywood, who has been no stranger to Penn State, was back over the weekend. The 4-star offensive tackle has been a long-time target for the Nittany Lions and they would love to add the 6-foot-7 tackle to the class. He is one of the few pure tackles on the board at the time.

Another tackle on the board is 3-star Garrett Sexton, also from Wisconsin. At 6-foot-7 and 245 pounds, Sexton has a large frame, but definitely needs to add some weight. Regardless, Sexton is an interesting prospect, especially with schools with rich offensive line pedigree like Oklahoma, Iowa and Minnesota after him. He is set to announce his commitment on May 1, and the Nittany Lions are the current crystal ball favorite on 247 Sports.

A little closer to home, 4-star interior prospect William Satterwhite from Ohio is another name to keep an eye on. His recruitment has recently exploded with offers from the likes of Alabama, Clemson and Georgia recently coming in. He was back at Penn State for the Spring Game, which is a good sign.

Closing out the group is top 100 prospect Liam Andrews from Massachusetts. He also made his way back to campus this past weekend, which was big for Penn State Football. He has position versatility both on the offense line and even on the defensive line.

The Nittany Lions likely won’t land everyone on this list, but getting three to four of these guys in the fold would be massive for offensive line coach Phil Trautwein and his group.
