Penn State Football National Signing Day LIVE Updates

Penn State Football is in the process of securing the signature of every 2024 commit this morning. The Nittany Lions entered the day with 25 commits and are looking for a drama-less day

7:45 a.m. update

Earlier this morning, 3-star DL Xavier Gilliam became the first commit to officially sign his letter of intent.

Cooper Cousins, the first commit in the 2024 class, makes it official. The 6-foot-6, 320-pound 4-star has a chance to make an impact on the offensive line sooner rather than later.

Linebacker Kari Jackson from Michigan makes it official. The 3-star joins Kobe King as a linebacker at Penn State from Michigan.

Arguably the prized jewel of the class, 4-star running back Quinton Martin is officially set to join a loaded running back room. Despite Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen both expected to return, Martin has a chance to make an immediate impact on the offense because of his versatility.

8:05 a.m. Update

4-star corner back Jon Mitchell from Jacksonville, FL joins the fold. With the Nittany Lions losing so much in the secondary, he has a chance to see the field right away in 2024.

Talk about a scouting masterclass. Luke Reynolds was ranked in the 900s nationally when he committed to Penn State. A year and a half later, he’s a 5-star and one of the future center pieces of the Penn State offense.

8:35 a.m. Update

The second 4-star running back in the 2024 class joins the fold. Corey Smith, a speedy back from Wisconsin, will have a chance to compete for the starting job in 2025.

There may not be a higher upside player in the class than Garrett Sexton. The 4-star OT needs to add weight, but his athletic 6-foot-6 frame could make him a future monster at left tackle.

Make it three straight Wisconsinites to sign with Penn State. Donovan Harbor is the high school teammate of Corey Smith and will have a chance to block for him again in college in a couple years.

9:10 a.m. Update

Reinforcements at wide receiver are on the way as 4-star Josiah Brown signs his letter of intent.

Penn State continues to stack the defensive line, this time with T.A. Cunningham. Listed after 6-foot-5 and 285 pounds, Cunningham could be the big-body presence Penn State has been missing on the interior of the defensive line.

10:00 a.m. Update

Another receiver signs with Penn State, this time it’s 3-star Peter Gonzalez. After dealing with an injury as a junior, Gonzalez had a huge senior season.

Arguably the top defender in the class, 4-star defensive tackle Liam Andrews makes it official. Like Cunningham, he has a chance to grow into a major force on the interior of the defensive line.

Another defensive tackle signs his letter of intent, this time it’s 3-star De’Andre Cook. Another big body for defensive line coach Deion Barnes to work with.

11:00 a.m. Update

Pennsylvania’s own Caleb Brewer puts pen to paper. The versatile lineman may need sometime but has a chance to be an impact player.

One of the best safeties in the Mid-Atlantic is also officially a Nittany Lion. 4-star DeJuan Lane could be in line to continue Penn State’s success at the safety position.

Antoine Belgrave-Shorter joins his high school teammate Jon Mitchell in the class. Those two have a chance to be the starting corner back duo one day.

Another raw prospect to sign his letter of intent is Egan Boyer. The 6-foot-8 frame is exciting as an offensive tackle, but he’s going to need to add some serious weight.
