Penn State Football OT Olu Fashanu Makes Stunning NFL Decision

Penn State Football, James Franklin

Penn State Football may have gotten their biggest win of the season Monday afternoon, with the announcement of the return of their left tackle in 2023.

Sophomore offensive tackle Olu Fashanu told ESPN, and announced on Twitter, that the NFL can wait, and he will indeed be back in the blue and white next season, protecting Drew Allar’s blindside.

In only his first season as a starter, Fashanu turned the heads of everyone, including the NFL.

Early indications were that the Nittany Lions‘ stalwart had a legitimate chance of being a top 10 pick in April’s NFL Draft, potentially being the first tackle taken in the draft.

The six-foot-six 308 pound left tackle was an anchor along the Nittany Lions line this season until he suffered an injury against Ohio State, and has not seen the field since.

With Fashanu back in the fold, Penn State will eagerly await the announcements of a few other key players such as Curtis Jacobs, Juice Scruggs, Parker Washington to name a few.

However, Fashanu might have been the most crucial and impactful player that had a decision to make, and should mean big things for the offensive line in 2023.
