Penn State Football continued its huge week on the recruiting trail Thursday by landing four star linebacker Tony Rojas out of Fairfax, Virginia.
Ranked as the 107th best player in the ‘23 class by the 247Sports composite, the Nittany Lions staved off elite competition for the six-foot-one, 200 pound backer.
Rojas had Clemson, Georgia, along with Penn State Football in his top three, but also had offers from the likes of Miami, Notre Dame and Oklahoma.

It does not come as a surprise though that the Virginia native chose James Franklin and company, as 247Sports experts did have a unanimous four crystal balls in for Rojas to commit to Happy Valley.
How James Franklin, Penn State Football won out for Tony Rojas
Rojas took unofficial visits to Beaver Stadium last fall for both the white out game against Auburn and the Michigan game.
Rojas attended junior day and made an official visit in June that seemingly sealed the deal for the Nittany Lions. A last minute official to Georgia did have Penn State Football sweating a bit, however in the end Rojas will dawn the Blue and White.
He marks the second blue chip prospect to commit to the Lions this week after running back London Montgomery out of Scranton Prep announced his commitment on Monday.
What’s next for Penn State Football recruiting?
All eyes now turn to Ta’Mere Robinson who is set to announce his commitment on Friday.
The edge rusher out of Pittsburgh has also been unanimously crystal balled to Penn State Football and would finish up a surreal week for Franklin and his staff.
The Lions 2023 recruiting class currently ranks sixth in the country, and second in the Big Ten to only Ohio State.
